VIBE Members met at Ventura Coast Brewing Company for a Group Brew! Russian Imperial Stout was the brew of choice.
On St. Patrick’s day weekend, VIBE members participated in a group brew project hosted by Dan White, former homebrew and current Head Brewer of Ventura Coast Brewing Company. The club brewed a Russian Imperial Stout (RIS) that is slated to barrel age in Strawberry brandy barrel donated by Ventura Spirits Company, a local Ventura micro distillery.
The VIBE members brewed 5 gallons to 10 gallons each with Dan brewing 13 gallons and the brewing methods ranged from all grain to extract and every combination in between.
In total the group brewed 60+ gallons of RIS and once it’s fermented, it will be transfered to the Strawberry brandy barrel to mature.
VCBC will announce the release of the beer at VCBC sometime later this year! Hope to see you there!
